Engagements

How we can help

We partner with a handful of organizations at a time and tailor our offerings to their nuanced needs. Read about what our support can look like and the impact we've generated below.

II. New for 2027

Monks in Residence

Two monks spend a week or more with your organization to provide private mentorship sessions to interested team members.

Almost unanimously shared as the most impactful part of how we support individuals and organizations, this offering isn't therapy or religious chaplaincy. Our mentorship sessions are uniquely effective, because of our own perpetual inner work, a deep understanding of modern problems informed by a colorful range of life experience, and non-attachment to a specific technique or methodology. Before every session, we empty ourselves and fully meet the person where they are at. We use language and concepts that suit the person's sensibilities and guide them to discovering clarity through simple, yet profound wisdom that we've spent over a decade refining, practicing, and sharing with others.

  1. Day one: an introductionAn organization-wide session to share our stories, meditate together, share resources and set the tone for the week.
  2. All week: open conversationsTeam members who are interested schedule private mentorship sessions, and organic conversations unfold throughout the stay.
  3. Last day: what we noticedWhile keeping every personal detail confidential, we debrief the leadership team on the patterns we saw and insights to improve team well-being.
  4. Afterwards: if it fitsIf the residency proved beneficial and you'd like to deepen the offering, we can co-design a custom Wisdom & Well-Being program for your team, and even study the outcomes to highlight your organization through published research via our professional research partnerships.

Impact Stories

A few stories of how our work impacted some of the leaders and organizations we have served with depth.

Notion

Technology · San Francisco · Since 2024

A multi-year relationship with this $10 billion software company whose software powers all the work we do. It began with a tour of their headquarters and grew into sessions with their teams, global conferences for all their employees, mentions by their founders, live events at their HQ, and tools built together.

  • Virtual sessions. We were invited to run a meditation and product-feedback session with the product marketing team, which led to invitations to run meditation and wisdom sessions for their employees across their 6 locations around the world via Craft & Values Week in 2024 and 2025. The coordinator shared our session was one of the highest rated experiences of the week.
  • Resources built together. Their templates team helped us design two resources: the "Meditate like a Monk" journal and "Simply Still," a meditation habit builder.
  • Events at headquarters. A template launch and evening meditation at Notion HQ in 2025, and an hour session at their new HQ meditating and sharing product feedback in 2026.

CEO Ivan Zhao told our story during his keynote at Make with Notion in 2024.

I never thought [Notion's users] would also include monks, who use it extensively to coordinate meditation events and organize their writing. SO heartwarming!

IV. Gatherings

Candlelight evenings

On special occasions, we run magical, healing mass meditations and vigils to bring entire communities together.

Rows of people meditating by candlelight

Candlelight meditation

We have run two styles of this event for hundreds of participants at a time all around the world and in many different settings. For unique situations, we can run these events and combine it with a wisdom talk or other supplementary proceedings to fit the occasion.

Still Together

Taking shape

A quarterly global candlelight vigil for remembering and honoring the people we have lost, together, online and in person. If you have access to iconic or scenic locations to house this event, submit a proposal and we can discuss.
